What we collect, why, and who else receives it. You can search without an account.

What we collect

What you search for. We save each ranking with its search, so the next person who searches the same thing gets it right away. A saved ranking doesn't record who searched.
If you make an account, your email address. When you sign in with Google, also your name, photo and the sign-in details Google sends us.
If you buy credits, a record of each purchase and your credit balance.
Your IP address and browser type, to keep you signed in, protect sign-in from abuse, and limit free use per visitor.

Your recent searches, your copy of a ranking with the lists you added, and your light or dark choice are saved in your browser. Only you see them, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
We use cookies only to keep you signed in.

Anyone with a ranking's link can open it.
A ranking appears on our browse page and in search engines only when our check finds its search is about things, not people or private matters, and enough review lists agree on it. Every other ranking asks search engines to leave it out.

Our search provider and our AI model provider receive what you search for, to find and read review lists. Our AI model provider also reads each article you add to a ranking. They never receive your name or email.
Google receives your sign-in when you use the Google button. Our email provider sends your sign-in links.
Stripe takes your payment and receives your email address. Your card details go to Stripe, and we never see them.
Our hosting and database providers run the site and store what this page describes. Our hosting provider keeps request logs, which include IP addresses.
Review sites and stores serve the photos and icons on a ranking, so they see your IP address when your browser loads them. Amazon links carry our Associates tag.
Some of these providers process data outside your country, under their own privacy policies. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone not described here.

We keep your account and purchase records until you ask us to delete your account.
We keep saved rankings, so their links keep working.
When a search finds too few lists, we keep a note of it for a day, without the words, so it doesn't run again.

The extension has its own privacy policy, which covers what it reads and sends, and the record we keep of each article you add with it.

You can use the site without an account or a purchase.
To see your data or delete your account, email comparison-shop-support@googlegroups.com. Deleting your account removes your sign-ins, credits and purchase records. Stripe keeps its own payment records.
We have no ads, analytics or trackers.
If anything here changes, we'll update this page and its date.
